Thursday, Oct. 3
The Fall Colors Retreat will begin at noon with lunch, followed by opening comments and the keynote address. Round-table discussions will follow the keynote, giving attendees a chance to learn more about the exhibitors' products and services in depth. A break will follow the round tables. After the break, the second educational session will be held. To wrap up the first day, attendees will enjoy cocktails and dinner on the Mountain View Terrace, which offers scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Friday, Oct. 4
The second day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast, followed by opening comments and the second set of exhibitor round-table discussions. The final educational session will be held after the round-tables, and the event will wrap up with closing comments and prize drawings from 11:45 a.m. to noon.

Laura Blackmer, president of dealer sales, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc.
One of the major messages we are hearing from dealers today is: "What happened to margin?" Do you know that your manufacturers have tools to help you find and recover margin in your business? In this session, Blackmer hopes to help dealers recognize the key margin leaks in their businesses and assist them in recovering where they can.
Blackmer, president of dealer sales at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc., is responsible for the sales and management of the company's dealer network that represents and sells products and managed IT services. Her extensive experience includes 19 years in management and executive positions with Hewlett Packard Company, Intermec Corp. and Sharp. In December 2017, Blackmer joined the executive team at Konica Minolta. She has been awarded "Best Female Executive" seven times at the Frank Awards, The Cannata Report's annual awards that highlight excellence in office technology. Blackmer has ranked on Tigerpaw Software's Top 100 Influencers in the managed print industry list two years in a row. She has also been named to CRN's Women of the Channel list six times, is a four-time Channel Chief and a two-time CRN Inclusive Channel Leader. Blackmer is also a member of the Colorado State University Business Leadership Council.

Achieve Above-Benchmark Performance With Service Model Changes & Technology

Andy Peacock, senior consultant & PIVOT specialist, PROS Elite Group
In this session, Peacock will share the most recent service financial and operational model from PROS Elite Group based on its findings from more than 200 engagements. He will share industry-first analytics developed by PROS Elite to overachieve model performance in service profitability and operational effectiveness, as well as achieve excellence in customer service.
Peacock, senior consultant and PIVOT specialist at PROS Elite Group, has 38 years of office technology industry experience. During his career, Peacock has held most every position the industry has to offer. During his time with a Global Imaging/Xerox company, Peacock was the senior vice president of service and operations, responsible for six offices and a staff of 95 employees providing service and support for more than 30,000 clients across Alabama and portions of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. While vice president of service, he saw great success developing his management staff and implementing operational processes, making Peacock's dealership one of the most profitable service organizations in Global Imaging Systems. Over the past 10 years, he has been supporting companies across North America with service operations, service management development and integration of the PIVOT Service Analytics Tool.

The State of the Economy

Tim Quinlan, managing director and senior economist, Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Banking
At the intersection of the economy and financial markets in 2024 is the constant question of: "When will the Fed lower interest rates?" In this session, Quinlan will unpack the staying power of the consumer in this cycle and how that has disrupted the trend decline in inflation. The session will also explore the capital spending outlook and how that is apt to evolve as rates eventually come down.
Quinlan is a managing director and senior economist with Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Banking. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, he provides analysis on the U.S. economy and major foreign economies. Quinlan's work has been published in academic economic journals and his comments on the economy regularly appear in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and USA Today. Quinlan is also a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV, CNBC and National Public Radio (NPR). He first joined Wells Fargo in 2002, and previously held positions as a trust account portfolio manager and investment strategist before joining the economics group in 2007. Prior to joining the company, Quinlan worked for Putnam Investments in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the National Association for Business Economics. Quinlan has a bachelor of arts from Siena College in Albany, New York.
